I saw the Oncologist Wednesday and he told us he is prepared to do everything in his power to help me fight this. So he ordered a whole new set of various tests and this is what is happening at the moment.............
The Oncologist told me that the mass is in the lower lobe of my left lung, he also found 4 additional lymp nodes. He ordered 3 MRI's back to back which I had Thursday, today I will have a PET scan which is similar to a CAT scan but they shoot a sugar substance into the veins instead of the blue dye, on Monday I am scheduled for a biopsy. I return to the doctor on April 7th, to hear the results and see if there is something we can do, discuss options, etc. Please keep praying for me, I am not in the clear yet and have a long road ahead of me. Thank you for your kindness, thoughts, and prayers.
I have now told my oldest son, he took the news very hard. As of right now, my youngest son does not know as he is in Iraq. The Red Cross has begun the process of working with the Army to bring him home. This could take a week or more because of their obvious need to verify my illness and get the ball rolling to get him home.
NOTE: I have created the Cancer Care Center, PLEASE join to show support for me and all of us diagnosed with cancer.

You sound so strong and I am humbled by that.
I continue to think of you all the time. I have a silly little tradition - it started back when a friend who lived far away was ill. Each night I would light a tiny yellow candle for him and let the wonderful light from it fill the room.
I have stocked up on yellow candles and they all have your name on them.
I'm so glad they're bringing your son home.
dari, my friends and i are all sending white light to you. stay strong!

I only heard such terms in Dr. House and his colleagues. I can't imagine there is really a person that undergoes through this all. :(
